Find small moments to find comfort and joy in:)

With families, roommates, neighbors, and couples in close quarters for a long time, it can be easy to get frustrated and lose our cool. Now that we know we need to be together for a little longer, we have missed holidays with our families, and we miss our regular routines we have to find ways to find happy moments and joy. People have feelings and right now it is more than ok to feel them all. Remember that finding something good in each day is important to help us get through this time. 

  • Try a new hobby.
  • Find a new app- I will admit that I just downloaded SnapChat and my kids are loving it-we just laugh together.
  • Dust off instruments and start playing again or for the first time.
  • Do a favorite recipe even if it isn’t the time of year for it.
  • Take time to smell flowers around your yard.
  • Work on some crafting.
  • Break out the classic board games.
  • Learn new dances or share older ones.
  • Watch old home movies, view a slideshow, or a photo album.

Most of all remember that we all handle it differently: some will need alone time, some will need reassurance, some will need extra hugs, and some will need to be focused on tasks. We will get through this together in our own ways.
